PAGE UPDATED June 6th, 2024
The following message went out to the parents and youth on May 25, But we want to follow up on four things.
Wards/Branches are responsible for doing a pack check for all youth from their Wards/Branchs attending Trek. We have recommended that this happen on Tuesday night before Trek. We need the wards to make sure all youth have the required gear. The gear list is on the trek website at LosLunasTrek.org
Wards/Branches are responsible for getting all youth to the muster point on Wednesday morning at 10AM and also home on Saturday at Noon from the same muster point. We will be serving Hamburgers and Hotdogs at the muster point on Saturday for those who would like some lunch before heading home! See map below.
We need mothers/fathers/guardians to write a letter to their children, sharing their testimony and/or personal message. These letters should be in a sealed envelope and given to youth leaders to be given to the Stake leaders so that the youth have them for day 3 of trek. Please collect these letters as soon as possible so we know who might not have a letter and can follow up with the parents directly.
We are asking youth to have a story of a pioneer in their family to share with other youth on Trek. This story is not limited to Church pioneer stories. We all have ancestors who have done great and hard things that has influenced our family today. We are asking that youth have some stories they can share with other youth.
